“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbour:
"Winter is dead.”
Hope that the sun shines for you this weekend ... see you soon my lovelies!
Love, Claire xxx
Hello Claire,
ReplyDeleteAlas we are turning our heads but only because of the wind and the rain here in Budapest. But, a lovely thought that the sun may shine soon. For now, we shall just have to create our own sunshine and we trust that you will too.
We have found our way here from goodness knows where but have enjoyed our stay. Such a varied and eclectic blog, delightfully written and illustrated. We shall be back for more.
Happy weekend!
and a resounding AMEN to winter! Roll on summer (for you) for us here its nearly winter!
ReplyDeleteHi Claire
ReplyDeleteWell it is shinning and it feel lovely. I sat out for a good hour with Hubby yesterday at 3, then again after tea at 6, so nice. Looking forward to doing that every afternoon!!
My friend Angie is back from her three week holiday in Canada, so I am happy today.

What a lovely blog! Enjoyed the AA Milne quote - perfect for today here in the Ards Penninsula in Co Down. Blackbirds, sunshine, waves and the waft of lilac. Perfect.

ReplyDeleteHello Claire, lovely to come here and be invited to put my feet up, enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake from the tin! My kind of homey English place which I miss so much.
ReplyDeleteI'll spend time later scrolling back through your posts, learning more about life in the north (I'm originally from Devon, way down south!) - meanwhile, as you say, sometimes life gets in the way and we can't blog ALL day long, haha!
Happy weekend - nice to make your acquaintance.
Mary (now in North Carolina)
